Department of Urban and Regional Planning

The Department of Urban and Regional Planning currently has six professors, five associate professors and two lecturers, including one scientist of The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars.

It focuses on urban planning, regional planning, land use and planning, scenic area planning, world heritage research, tourism planning, transportation planning, urban design and architecture research.

The faculty has won many awards such as the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Protection Award, the first prize of the National Urban and Rural Planning and Design Outstanding Achievement Award, and the First Prize of Land and Resources Science and Technology, and First Prize of Beijing Philosophy and Social Science Excellent Achievement.

They have generated considerable social impacts.
