A Transition to Sustainability? Development and Environment in a Changing World
内容简介
The world is undergoing rapid changes -- in population growth, urbanization,
industrial growth, consumption of natural resources, and both the global and
regional environments. Dean Matson and Professor Thompson will discuss some of the
innovative ideas that Stanford researchers are pursuing to ensure that, despite
these changes, we can meet human needs while sustaining the ecosystems and the air,
water and climate systems that we rely on for our survival.
